Heart Wants What It Wants / Poetry / Time Machine Love

Not Good Enough

Been correcting all sorts of wrongs

Been singing a whole lot of song

Frogs I have kissed

Hearts never seized

Blood’s on my sheet

All from my wrist

and throat weary of cigs

cutting hair short but wearing wigs

Things I did to mask up mistakes

Risked my life with chances I take

Now that I’ve met

Eyes have been set

to see a whole different world

Things are being swirled

All my life I’ve been correcting

Now he’s here, it’s all connecting

The wrongs I masked

The songs I sang

All for you but you’re an angel

Mad enough, but am I good enough?
